the station

On 2 February 2006 the fire-brigade Kirchohsen moved into its new station in the grounds of the FTZ.
There are two classrooms, which can be made into a larger room by the removal of a partition. Equipped with an up-to-date multimedia system these rooms meet the requirement for an optimal theoretical training. Comfortable furnishings as well as pleasant warm lighting and wall colour ensure for a climate of well-being that improves the conditions for a successful instruction. A kitchen and bar offer the possibility to have meals and beverages to be served. A mural painted by one of our section commanders Patrick Schwedt it shows the garages with our four most important vehicles and makes these rooms absolute unique.

The furnished entrance hall which is used on the one hand as break area during instruction, at other times it is used after tasks and exercises are finished for cooling down. It is called “The extinguishing corner”, which means "thirst" in this case.

An office and conference room, as well as store room round off our “habitat”.

The parish made the financial means available so that members of the fire brigade Kirchohsen could renovate these rooms in many hours of D I Y work.
